Call for Applications
The primary objective of this request for applications is to facilitate the success of diverse faculty engaged in research in the fields of nutrition, obesity, and diabetes at the six participating institutions of SPLENDOR-NC: Duke University, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University, and Winston-Salem State University.
Application Guidelines
Complete applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM ET on Friday, March 31, 2023, using the online form here. Applications must include an NIH-style biosketch, contact information for three references, and a one-page personal statement.
The personal statement must include your research interests, your short- and long-term career goals, and what you would like to get out of this Scholars Program, including your goals for the mentorship you will receive as part of the Program. Limit the personal statement to 1 single-spaced page with Arial 11pt font and 0.5″ margins.

Eligibility
- Senior post-doctoral fellows or Assistant Professors in either fixed-term or tenure-track positions at one of the six partnering institutions, including those from groups nationally underrepresented in biomedical and behavioral research as defined by the NIH.
- A focus on advancing a research career in the area of nutrition, obesity, diabetes, and/or related research.
