Call for Applications – Deadline Extended One Week!
The primary objective of this request for applications is to facilitate the success of diverse faculty engaged in research in the fields of nutrition, obesity, and diabetes at the six participating institutions of SPLENDOR-NC: Duke University, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University, and Winston-Salem State University.
Application Guidelines
Complete applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM ET on Friday, March 22, 2024, using the online form here. Applications must include an NIH-style biosketch and a one-page personal statement. Please use Arial 11pt font and 0.5″ margins.
The personal statement must include:
- Your research interests (250 words)
- Short- and long-term career goals (250-words)
- What you would like to get out of the Scholar Program, including your goals for the mentorship you will receive as part of the Program (250 words).

Eligibility
- Senior post-doctoral fellows or Assistant Professors in either fixed-term or tenure-track positions at one of the six partnering institutions, including those from groups nationally underrepresented in biomedical and behavioral research as defined by the NIH.
- A focus on advancing a research career in the area of nutrition, obesity, diabetes, and/or related research.
